Serial #5519F This offering is for the pictured German WW1 Mauser Kar98 AZ Carbine or Short Rifle. In good looking and maker marked from the Erfurt Arsenals in 1917. This one has seen use with Polish military and has an added stamping on the receivers top and Polish made stock set.

Handly carbine for use with Cavalry, Artillery and Grenadiers or Assault troops.

Serial numbers no longer match. Blued finish on the metal with average light wear and silvering to the sharp edges. Correct brite bolt with the knurled underside.

Sound stock and hand guard, with minor dings and compressions.

Chambered in 8mm Mauser the bore has good+ rifling with frost lands and grooves. Stamped 8mm on the side rail and barrel by the importer.

Makes a fine rifle for the military collector.
