This offering is for the pictured Finnish Puukko Knife. In good looking used condition, maker signed on the blade but a bit unreadable.
A Puukko is a traditional Finnish belt knife with a single curved cutting edge and flat back for all purpose use/hunting and is part of the Nordic Culture where great pride is taken in the carving of the handle. A fixture with every man and soldier.
This one from an estate of a Maine hunter, 7.5 inches in overall length with a 3.75 inch blade. Grip is a composite type material, aged crazing with a chip out under the pommel. Blade appears to be a carbon type steel and has been sharpened. This has been used in the field with typical marks from use.
Includes the good condition leather scabbard with a repaired seam on the reverse.
