This offering is for the pictured Austro-Hungarian Empire Mannlicher M95 Carbine. In good looking condition, referred to as a carbine and officially called the Repetier Stutzen for its abbreviated size. Issued to support troops such as artillery, engineers, signal corps and police.
Maker marked from the Budapest Arsenals and refurbished over the years in service. Serial numbers re marked to match. Full blued finish on the metal, handy 20 inch barrel, straight pull action repeater,
barrel shank is marked with the S indicating chambered for the updated caliber 8x56r. Appears mechanically fine.
Sound hardwood stock and hand guard with typical small dings and scuffs.
Chambered in 8x56r the bore has good+ rifling, frosted lands with darker frosted grooves. Import marked. Makes a fine rifle for the collector.
