This offering is for the pictured Enfield No7 Bayonet. In very good looking condition, maker marked from British Poole Arsenals in 1948. Made for use on the No4 Enfield and STEN/Sterling sub machine guns.
Developed toward the end of WW2, 1944-1948 only 176,000 made as an improvement over the spike bayonet.
Original item, 12 3/8 inches in overall length with an 8 inch blade, features a clipped point "Bowie" type blade with a resin impregnated cloth, Paxolin grip. Pommel uniquely swivels to mount the different firearms.
Grip metal has a mate blue/black finish with minor wear, blade is nice with minor stains. Original scabbard is quite nice. Makes a fine item for the military collector. Just this 1 available.
