Antique, stock #LT.A912 This offering is for the pictured Kynoch Patent Gras Military Musket. In good looking condition and marked from the Kynoch Gun Factory, Ashton England. After the Franco Prussian War, the Kynoch factory rebuilt and converted surplus and obsolete French Chassepot needle fires for modern use.

This conversion is essentially a build into the single shot Gras military musket configuration to accept the modern black powder metallic cartridges.

Marked on the barrel 43-77-380 for caliber .43, 77 grains of black powder and a 380 grain projectile. We understand this chambering to be the German M71 11mm Mauser in an effort to sell this conversion to the Chinese or other fledgling nations.

This has matching serial numbers #521 bolt to barrel, blued finish on the metal with a brite bolt and cleaning rod. Good looking average wear.

Nice condition wood, sound with good vintage hue, small dings or scuffs.

Chambered in 11mm Mauser, the bore is brite with very good rifling, minor frost spots.

Makes a fine rifle for the military collector.
