Product Details

This offering is for the pictured Converted M1 Garand Rifle. In good looking condition, and maker marked from the Springfield Armory, the M1 Garand receiver dated to 1941

This has been converted to a short "Tanker" configuration with an 18 inch barrel, caliber converted to 308 Winchester and further converted to accept M14 magazines. Nice looking item, unmarked we do not know what shop did the work.

Full parkerized finish with light edge wear at the muzzle area. Barrel dates from 1965. Features the excellent adjustable rear aperture sight the is capable of quick and accurate shooting. Mechanically appears fine. Includes 1 Check Mate marked 20 round magazine.

Sound hard wood stock set is shortened at the front to fit.

Chambered in 308 Winchester the bore has very good rifling with frost in the grooves.

Makes a fine rifle for the military collector.
