This offering is for the pictured Austrian WW1 era Hebel Model 1894 Flare Gun. In good used condition, this saw principal use during WW1 with general use from 1894 thru WW2.
Standard break action design and exposed hammer for cocking, lock up is crisp. Faint Austrian military eagle stamping and German manufacturing proofs present. Mechanically functions fine.
Barrel is 9 inches, metal finish is mostly a plumb patina with some gray and frost areas. Battering lined on the top strap. Lock up is tight and appears mechanically fine.
Sound hardwood grips, lanyard loop is present, caliber 26.5mm.
Makes a fine item for the military collector.
