Product Details
Serial #A2344 This offering is for the pictured Spanish Mauser M95 Carbine. In good looking condition and for use with cavalry or mounted troops. Produced at the Spanish Oviedo Arsenals in 1899 and arsenal refurbished over the years.

A bit uncommon to find, it is the 1893 design adopted to this carbine configuration in 1895 and has all the correct features such as full stock and saddle ring loop. This does not have the gas relief hole or thumb cut out on the receivers left side, found on later produced guns but does have the provision for sling swivels added to the design after 1896.

Serial numbers no longer match. Metal finish as turned a plumb patina, with some silvering to the sharp edges and a correct brite bolt. Bolt action repeater appears mechanically fine.

Sound hard wood stock and hand guard, typical small dings and scuffs, over 125 years old.

Chambered in 7mm Mauser the bore has good rifling, brite lands and darker frosted grooves. Not import marked.

Makes a fine rifle for the collector.
