Product Details

Antique #LTC.A496 This offering is for the pictured Pennsylvania Half Stock Percussion Rifle. 1850's era gunsmith crafted item in the style of what is known as the Pennsylvania. The gunsmith's name is no longer visible but was assembled with a Joseph Manton lock.

38.5 inch octagon barrel, with a rear iron sight and nickle silver front blade. Double set triggers and brass trigger guard and butt plate. Barrel metal is a plumb patina, hammer and lock plate are hand engraved with hunting accents. Modern added number stamped on the barrel side.

Attractive tiger stripped grained hardwood half stock with a pewter forend tip and newer hardwood ram rod.

Appears to be .40+ caliber rifled barrel

Due to age, offered as a display collectable, sound and will display well above the fireplace.

Makes a fine antique for the collector.
