Item #4637. This offering is for the pictured vintage European Small Sword. In good condition and likely dates from the mid 1700's. A design that started in France and spread across Europe, this type of sword was small and light and could be worn for everyday carry.
Produced by many small shops the small swords could be ordered and purchased with any mount of adornment that a man could afford.
This one is quite nice, no makers mark visible, 39 inches in overall length with a 33 inch blade. Ornate iron handle with gold toned inlay and raised floral scrolled motif and runs from the pommel to the knuckle guard and hand guard.
Double edge blade with a stepped shape, thick near the handle with an elegant step down. Blade is also hand engraved with an artist design.
There is no scabbard.
Fine item for the collector. Just this 1 available.
