Item #4437 This offering is for the pictured vintage German Hunting Sword. In nice looking condition and likely 1920's era or before.
Proudly worn as an attractive side arm and used for finishing off game.
22 inches in overall length with a 16.5 inch blade. The German steel blade is brite with attractive hunting and martial motifs etched along the length. Blade edge has been sharpened toward the tip and possibly shortened. Brass cross and pommel with a stag horn grip.
Original brass mounted leather scabbard is present, sound leather, both the tip and throat slide around in place. There is an additional pocket on the scabbard for a smaller skinner knife that is missing.
Fine item for the collector.
