Italian military Carcano M91 M91 rifle. Maker marked Terni Arsenals and dated 1916 for WW1 service. Good overall condition considering its likely service in 2 World Wars.
Sound stock set with an even hue to the European walnut. Handsome cartouche on the butt with a 1924 date, likely an Arsenal refurbishment marking. Hand guard has a small crack ahead of the rear sight. Serial numbers match stock and barrel, the only marked parts. Metal finish is worn blue turning a patina.
Chambered in 6.5 Carcano the bore has good rifling with light frost lands and grooves.
Makes a fine rifle for the military collector.
