This offering is for 1 of our Belgian Enfield or FAL Heavy Service Slings. Like the one pictured, all are in good used condition. These are post WW2 Belgian made, some faintly Belgian army marked, ABL Armée Belge Leger. Light green web material in the style of the traditional Enfield Web slings with brass attachment hooks on each end.
These have additional cleats added to the strap on each end, likely to keep the sling from changing its adjustment position with a heavy rifle or marksman use.
This type of sling dates from the late 1940's thru early 1950's and would have seen use on any of the rifles in service at that time, such as the Enfield No4, FN49 or FAL.
