This offering is for the pictured 1740's Flintlock Musket Dutch/Liege Socket Bayonet. In good looking condition and made for .75-.80 caliber muskets.
Identified as the "Short Shank Dutch/Liege" socket bayonet it was produced at the Liege Armory's for the Dutch arms market. Further sold to England between 1740-1745, 10,000 of which were sent to North America during the French & Indian War or Seven Year War.
16 inches in overall length with a 11.5 inch flat blade. Socket is near 1 inch diameter. Metal is mostly brite with some frost pitting of the ages. 280+ years old.
There is no scabbard. Makes a fine item for the military collector. Just this 1 available.
