Antique This offering is for the pictured Mosin Nagant Model 1891 Rifle. In good looking condition, maker marked from the Russian Imperial Tula Arsenals in 1895.

The Mosin Nagant design is legendary, adopted in 1891 as a "state of the art" military rifle, it served around the world for nearly 100 years.

This one is the early long barrel infantry rifle. It has seen ample use over the decades, likely rebuilt a time or two. It has the original pre 1908 magazine with the sling swivel. Likely captured and used by Austria during WW1 it has the added wire sling swivels.

Matching serial numbers bolt to receiver only. Blue black finish on the metal is mostly worn to gun metal gray. Bolt action repeater appears mechanically fine.

Sound original stock and hand guard with typical small dings and compressions. 1896 dated roundel stamped on the butt.

Chambered in 7.62x54r the bore has very good rifling smooth lands with darker frosted grooves. NOT import marked.

Makes a fine rifle for the military collector.
