Antique This offering is for the pictured Swiss Model 1889 Infantry Rifle. In good looking condition, maker marked from the Swiss Arsenals, serial number dates to 1892 production.

Matching serial numbers. Metal finish is blued with most wear to the magazine areas and barrel bands. 12 round integral magazine, 30 inch barrel and crisp straight pull action, appears mechanically fine. Old grease and grime still on this one. Sold out on military service as a private purchase item in 1919, marked P19 on the receivers top.

Sound European hard wood stock set, matched in color tone, minor dings and compressions.

Chambered in 7.5 Swiss (GP1890)* the bore is brite with very good rifling. Not import marked. Swiss quality!

*Safety point* GP1890 is not the same as 7.5 Swiss GP11. This is a low power round for the 1889 and modern Swiss ammunition should not be fired.

Makes a fine rifle for the military collector.
