This offering is for the pictured East German Military EDF 7x40 Binoculars. In good looking used condition and understood to have been produced by Carl Ziess optics during the East German years.
Green painted alloy frame with a rubberized covering on the main body. Legendary Ziesss glass lenses are clear with a ranging reticle on the right side. Slight yellow tint as seems to be normal with these.
The initial military issue had an internal IR lense for the left eye and a lever to activate an illuminated reticle on the right side with Tritium. Neither of these options work and were likely removed/refurbished when adopted into West German service.
Original East German neck strap is present.
7 x 40 magnification, individual eyepiece adjusts for focus.
