Product Details
This offering is for the pictured US Model 1917 Rifle. In good looking condition and maker marked from Eddystone with a 1918 barrel date.

This standard US WW1 Infantry rifle with a full length with a 26 inch barrel. These became surplus items after WW1 and were exported around the world to friendly countries in the 1920's-1930's.

This one appears to have seen service in China or South East Asia owing to the unique Chu wood stock set that is slightly rougher where inletted. China was a recipient of 1917 rifles during WW2 for the Shanghai Volunteer Corps and the Chinese Nationalist government.

Metal has a worn blue finish with patina and frost spots present. Bolt action repeater appears mechanically fine.

Sound Asian stock and hand guards, light weight and lighter toned with typical small dings and scuffs.

Chambered in 30-06 the bore is brite with good rifling. Import marked.

Makes a fine rifle for the military collector.
