This offering is for the pictured US M1 Garand Rifle. In good looking condition, and maker marked from the legendary Springfield Arm! Serial number dates to WW2 production, December 1944.

Likely rebuilt over its life in service, metal has a parkerized finish worn thin from the years. Semi automatic full sized battler rifle, appears mechanically fine.

Sound American hardwood stock set with typical small scuffs. Buttstock is the slightly fatter version and has a painted rack number.

Chambered in 30-06, the barrel is original 1944 dated, brite with good rifling slight frost in the grooves. Gauged MW 4.75 and TE 3.5. Not import marked.

Makes a fine rifle for the military collector.
