Product Details

This offering is for the pictured Mosin Nagant Model 1891 Rifle. In very good looking condition and maker marked from New England Westinghouse in 1915 on military contract to the Czar of Russia.

This is one of the rifles never delivered to Russia due to production delays and eventual collapse of the Czar government to the Bolshevik Revolution. This is marked on the barrel shank with US military proofs and was issued to the National Guard or other 2nd line forces during WW1.

Matching serial numbers, bolt receiver and butt plate with an unmarked floor plate. No Finnish Army use markings only the cyrillic roundel stamp on the butt.

Metal finish is blue/matte blue with wear and some patina on the bands or exposed areas. Quite nice really. Bolt action repeater appears mechanically fine.

Sound American walnut stock set with typical small dings and compressions from use and long storage.

Chambered in 7.62x54r the bore has very good+ rifling. Not import marked.

Makes a fine rifle for the military collector.
