Product Details

This offering is for the pictured Polish Mauser Kar98 AZ Carbine or Short Rifle. In good looking condition and is the same design as the German WW1 carbines. Produced at the Polish Radom Arsenals it is a small ring receiver design and features the full length stock with integral stacking swivel, side mounted sling loops for use with Cavalry, Artillery and other units.

Arsenal refurbished over the years, matching serial numbers bot to receiver only. Military crest removed from the receiver top and exported to the Spanish Civil war in the 1930's as covert assistance as many of these were.

Metal is blued with sharp edge wear and some patina. Bolt is brite and correctly turned down with a checkered underside.

Sount stock and hand guard have typical small dins and scuffs and has Spanish Civil War era conscript art on the butt.

Chambered in 8mm Mauser the bore has good+ rifling, brite frosted lands and darker frosted grooves. Not import marked.

Makes a good rifle for the military collector.
