Product Details

This offering is for the pictured Winchester Model 1897 ShotGun. In good looking condition and known as the first successful slide action shotgun. Very popular design with nearly one million produced between 1897-1957. This one dates to the year 1900.

Slide action design with a 25.5 inch barrel and exposed hammer. 12 Gauge marked atop the barrel.

Metal finish is worn to gun metal gray with typical patina spots, some frost pitting mostly on the trigger guard. Appears mechanically fine.

Hardwood stock and forend are sound with typical small dings and scuffs of the years, forend grip has a couple of glue repaired grain cracks.

Chambered in 12 Gauge, smooth bore with frost.

Makes a fine firearm for the collector.
