This offering is for the pictured German K98 Mauser Rifle. In very good looking condition and marked from the wartime German JP Sauer Arsenals, code CE in 1943.

The K98, a legendary bolt action battle rifle that was based on the 1898 Mauser design and improved over the years to this K98 rifle configuration. State of the art at the time and respected around the world.

This one has been rebuilt over the years of service, serial numbers no longer match and the bolt has been spuriously re-numbered.

Blued finish on the metal with typical light wear, silvering to the finish near the muzzle and sharp edges. Condition is better than most wartime rifles encountered. wear. Bolt action repeater appears mechanically fine.

Handsome laminated stock and hand guard with average light wear.

Chambered in 8mm Mauser the bore is brite with very good rifling. Not import marked.

Makes a good rifle for the shooter or collector.
