This offering is for the pictured Canadian Ross Rifle Bayonet. In very good looking condition, and maker marked from the Ross Rifle Company Quebec Canada and in production from 1905-1918. This one is dated 06-1910 and likely saw WW1 service.
Unique and correct blade shape for the Ross bayonets.14.5 inches in overall length with a 10 inch blade, some frost and sharping marks on the blade. Grip metals blued finish is worn turning a patina. Muzzle ring is slightly bent and has some battering marks. Unit marked on the pommel ST.J 158, likely a Saint John New Brunswick unit.
The leather scabbard is present, sound with wear, dated 1906 and Canadian broadarrow marked also unit marked on the back.
Makes a fine item for the military collector. Just this 1 available.
