Product Details

This offering is for the pictured Carcano Model 1891 Carbine TS or Troop Special. In good looking condition, maker marked from the Brescia Arsenals in 1917.

The Troop Special carbine was meant for use by troops other than infantry or cavalry such as artillery, engineers, NCO's, logistical, navy and militia.

Metal finish is blued with light wear and a brite bolt. Appears to have a 1968 refurbishment date on the left side. 17.91 inch barrel with the adjustable 1500 meter rear sight. Features the 2 position sling swivels. Bolt action repeater appears mechanically fine.

Wood stock set is sound with typical small dings and scuffs.

Chambered in 6.5 Carcano the bore has good rifling, brite lands with darker frosted grooves. Import marked "Made In Italy" on the receiver top.

Fine rifle for the collector.
