Serial #165 This offering is for the pictured Remington Rolling Block Model 1902 Carbine. In good looking condition, Military Export version in 7mm Mauser made between 1903 and 1906 in only limited numbers, possibly a Uruguay contract.

Metal finish has turned an even plumb patina with a few areas of gun metal gray, some frost pitting spots on the rear sigh and other exposed areas. Features the sturdy single shot rolling block action, sling swivels on the right and cavalry lanyard loop on the left, correct carbine sights. Maker marked from Remington on the tang, serial number added to the receivers top, mechanically appears fine.

Stock and hand guard are sound walnut, with few dings, dents and conscript graffiti. Handguard appears to have an epoxy repaired crack as is common with these, seems ok.

Chambered in 7mm Mauser the bore has only fair-good rifling with frost lands and grooves.

Makes a fine rifle for the military collector.
