Item #4934 This offering is for the pictured vintage US Springfield Model 1873 Trapdoor Bayonet. In nice looking condition and known as the Model 1873. This socket bayonet was copied and or modified from the M1855/70 with a smaller socket, swaged to size.
Features an 18 inch blade with 3 inch socket and 47/64 inch inside diameter. Bayonet has a blued finish with a few wear spots and patina. US marked on the base and includes the scabbard. A fine item for the military collector. Just this 1 available.
