ANTIQUE Swiss Schmidt Rubin Model 1889 Rifle. In nice looking condition, full military with a 30 inch barrel, crisp straight pull action and 12 round capacity magazine (state of the art 1889).

Metal finish is blued with wear to the sharp edges and mostly the front band. Wooden sock is original and sound with faint cartouches visible.Minor ding and compressions from use and long storage, couple bug holes near the wrist..

Matching serial numbers, bolt receiver and magazine. Chambered in 7.5 Swiss (GP1890)* the bore is brite and excellent. Not import marked. Swiss quality!

* Safety point* 7.5 Swiss GP1890 is not the same as 7.5 Swiss GP11. This is a low power version of this round for the 1889 and modern Swiss ammunition should not be fired.

Makes a fine rifle for the military collector.
