US Model 1903Springfield Mark 1 Rifle. In good looking condition and maker marked from Springfield Armory, with a 9-19 barrel date.

The Mark 1 was introduced toward the end of WW1 and features the small ejection port on the left side of the receiver to work with the Pedersen Device ie: .30 cal pistol cartridge semi-automatic insert.

Likely refurbished on the the years of service, this has a sound and hardwood stock and hand guard, few dings and compression's, litghtly sanded with refinish applied. Rack number om the bottom butt 879. Metal is a mix of finishes, blue/black or dark parkerize with wear, splotchy appearance on the front band. Chambered in 30-06 the bore has very good rifling with dark frosted grooves.

Makes a fine rifle for the military collector.
