This offering is for the pictured Dutch Mannlicher M95 Cavalry Carbine. In good looking condition, maker marked from the Steyr Arsenals, Austria on military contract in 1901.
This handy carbine was designed for use with cavalry, artillery and other non infantry troops. These handy carbine saw much use across the homeland and colonies, thru WW1 and WW1 and later in the Dutch Indonesia.
Serial numbers no longer match. Metal is turned a plumb patina with frost spots. Bolt action repeater appears mechanically fine.
Sound European hard wood stock, darker toned, typical dings and scuffs.
Chambered in Dutch 6.5x53R the bore is dark with fair-good rifling, frost lands and grooves. Import marked.
Makes a fine item for the military collector.
