This offering is for 1 box of our US WW2 38 Super Ammunition. Uncommon to find, very nice looking 50 round boxes, maker marked from Remington.
Colt 1911's in caliber .38 Super were ordered by the Office of Strategic Services OSS. This is the original ammunition.
Only 3 manufacturer lots are known 5001, 5002 and 5003. These boxes are clearly marked on the front 5002. Cartridges are clean looking brass cases, FMJ projectile and a standard commercial head stamp in a military kraft colored box. These boxes came out of the sealed spam can from the original wooden crate.
Several boxes available.
Makes a fine item for the military collector.
